Be the Healthiest Version of Yourself!

Hi, I'm Malin Svensson at Nordic Body. I'm the founder and owner of Nordic Body, which is a walking and fitness club for the 50 plus. Today, I want to talk about the past, reflect on the past year, and then move into the new year. I love new beginnings. And that is right around the corner in a few weeks, it's 2022. So, I want you to take a minute and reflect on your health for this past year. What went well, and what did not go as well?

For example, maybe you went out walking a little bit more. Maybe you purchased some more equipment to have at home for your workouts. Maybe you joined a class online or were lucky to do live classes. Or maybe things didn't go as you planned. Maybe you had an injury, you were not able to do things that you wanted to do. Maybe you didn't have the expertise, or you didn't know what to do to get strong without getting injured.

So, just take a minute to reflect on the past year. This year is almost done. We can't do anything about the past. But we can do something about it next year, which is just around the corner. What do you want that year to look like? How do you want to feel? How can you become the healthiest version of yourself? Well, I have a great solution. On January 10th, I start the 90-Day Strong Body & Mind Challenge, and I highly recommend that you purchase it now so you can just kick back and relax through the holidays and know that I got your back.

On January 10th, which is a Monday, we start at 5:00PM to 6:30PM PST. The great thing is that I do the coaching for half an hour, which is based on my book, "Wake Up Your Body + Mind After 50". So, when you start the workout, you will feel so motivated because you have more knowledge. You understand why you're working out, why you're doing certain exercises and how you are performing them to prevent injuries.

Then we do a workout and there's three levels to choose from - one, two, and three. Level 1 usually involves exercises either sitting down or standing up. Some people, they regard Level 1as a warmup, and some people use it as their workout. That's why I created three different levels - because we're all at different levels!

For level two and three, the prerequisite is that you're able to get down and up from the floor. But you can mix and match. You might do level one with one exercise and level two with another exercise. The great thing is that you can see the progression easily throughout the month. Because in one month, you do the same workout. So, you can see how you make progress from week to week.

Now, it also works great with the social aspect. I just had a group of people finishing a whole year and they had such great results. They feel that they have become stronger. Some people said they never worked out as much as they have done in their past decades. Especially one woman, I think she's in her late 60's/early 70s, she said, "I would never have been so consistent if I didn't do this program."

People have been able to decrease aches and pains. They've done the Nordic Body Reboot Program, which I will teach you. One member had hip pain, but after a few weeks from this program the pain disappeared. There are so many great results, and we all know that being consistent, creating a good habit is the key to success. That's what it's all about to make progress within anything in life. Especially when it comes to your health. This program delivers consistency and thus results.

I created this program, the 90-Day Strong Body & Mind Challenge, for you to start on January 10th, so you can keep your New Year's resolution for more than two weeks. Because this year coming up, you will have support from me and like-minded members in our private Nordic Body community.

Once a week I'll check in with you to see what you did regarding working out. I'll just ask three questions. How many strength training workouts did you do? How many cardio workouts did you do? How many steps did you take daily on average? That's it. The great thing about our Nordic Body Community is that when you get to know each other, you start supporting each other.

It's so wonderful to see people living all over the world connecting in the Nordic Body community and having fun. If you miss a workout, no worries. Everything is recorded so you can look at it at any time. That's great because I do want you to do some more workouts on your own throughout the week. You can easily download the Kajabi platform app and see the videos on your phone!

So, I highly recommend that you jump over to the link that is here in the text, https://www.nordicbody.com/90-Day-Strong-Body+Mind-Challenge, or if you want to go to our website, www.nordicbody.com, go to "products and services". In that dropdown menu, you'll find the 90-Day Strong Body & Mind Challenge.

I hope to see you on January 10th. Until then, I want to wish you a happy holiday and a happy, healthy new year. And like we say in Swedish, God Jul och Gott Nytt Ar! Bye.

Head over to my Instagram page and send me a DM (Direct Message) or comment on one of my posts and let me know how YOU are staying active daily.

As a fitness expert for 30 years for the 50+ population, I have witnessed fantastic progress and results for people that have stayed consistent over time. I’m sure you can see how it’s all related. Weak bones, weak muscles equals pain. Strong bones, healthy muscles equals less pain and more quality of life.

According to ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine), strength training should be performed at least twice a week with 8-10 different exercises that target all major muscle groups. And of course, you must do them correctly to avoid injuries. And that is exactly what the Nordic Body System is all about.
